SparkEd Math Solver: AI Powered Hints, Visual Solutions and a Coach That Teaches
Not just answers. Real understanding. SparkEd gives your child three levels of AI powered help on every single question: a Hint, a Visual Solution, and an AI Coach that teaches.

What If Your Child Had a Maths Tutor Available 24/7?
Every parent has seen it. Your child sits with their maths homework, stares at a problem for two minutes, then says 'I don't get it.' What happens next usually goes one of two ways. Either they give up and move on, or they Google the answer and copy it without understanding.
Both outcomes are terrible for learning.
What your child actually needs in that moment is not the answer. They need a nudge. A clue. A patient guide who says 'Think about what you already know about triangles' or 'What happens if you subtract both sides?' Someone who helps them think, not someone who thinks for them.
That is exactly what SparkEd's AI Math Solver does. And it is available on every single question, across every topic, for Classes 6 to 10.
Three Levels of Help on Every Question

Most maths apps give you either nothing or everything. You are either on your own, or you get the full solution dumped in front of you. Neither approach teaches.
SparkEd designed a fundamentally different system. Every question in SparkEd comes with three levels of help, and the student controls how much they need.
You can try SparkEd's Math Solver right now at sparkedmaths.com/solver — type any question, paste it, or upload a screenshot to get started.
Level 1: The Hint — A Gentle Nudge
When your child clicks the Hint button, they get a carefully crafted clue. Not the answer. Not even the method. Just enough to get them thinking in the right direction.
For example, on a triangle angle problem, the hint might say: 'The sum of all angles in a triangle is always 180°. Try subtracting the known angles from 180°.'
This is based on research showing that students learn most effectively when they receive just enough support to keep going, but not so much that the thinking is done for them. The technical term is 'scaffolding,' and it is the gold standard in educational psychology.
The hint is designed to trigger an 'aha!' moment. Many students, after reading the hint, immediately know how to proceed. They solve the problem themselves, and that feeling of figuring it out is what builds real confidence in maths.

Level 2: Visual Step by Step Solution
If the hint is not enough, the student can view the full Visual Solution. This is not a wall of text. Each step is numbered, clearly labelled with the concept used, and shows both the mathematical operation and the reasoning behind it.
Here is what a Visual Solution looks like for the problem 'In a triangle, two angles measure 65° and 45°. Find the third angle':
Step 1 — Angle Sum Property:
Step 2 — Substitute known values:
Step 3 — Simplify:
Step 4 — Solve:
Every solution is aligned with how your child's board teaches the topic. A CBSE solution follows NCERT methods. An ICSE solution matches the Selina or ML Aggarwal approach. An IB MYP solution uses the investigation based format the IB expects.
This is critical because many students lose marks not for getting the wrong answer, but for using a method the teacher did not teach. SparkEd eliminates that problem entirely.
Level 3: Ask the AI Coach — A Full Demo

This is where SparkEd truly becomes magical. If the hint and visual solution are not enough, your child can open Spark Coach: an AI tutor that chats with them in real time.
But here is the key design decision that makes all the difference: the Coach never gives away the answer. Instead, it asks guiding questions. It leads your child step by step until they reach the answer themselves.
Let us walk through an actual conversation so you can see exactly how it works.
Inside the Coach Conversation: Step by Step
Here is what happens in the Ask Coach demo above, broken down so you can see the teaching methodology.
The student says: 'I don't understand how to find the third angle. Where do I start?'
Instead of immediately solving the problem, the Coach responds with a question: 'What do you know about angles in a triangle?' This is the Socratic method. The Coach is helping the student access knowledge they already have.
The student then recalls the Angle Sum Property and adds the two known angles: 65° + 45° = 110°.
The Coach validates this ('Perfect!') and asks the next guiding question: 'If all three add up to 180° and two add up to 110°, what is left for the third?'
The student arrives at the answer: 180° − 110° = 70°. They solved it themselves!
The Coach celebrates ('Spot on!') and even generates a diagram so the student can visualise the triangle with all three angles labelled.
This entire interaction takes less than a minute. But the learning that happens is deeper than reading ten solutions, because the student's brain did the work.
The Coach Has a 5 Message Limit (By Design)
The Coach allows up to 5 exchanges per question. This is intentional. It prevents students from treating the Coach as a chatbot and forces productive engagement. After 5 exchanges, if the student has not reached the answer, the Coach reveals it with a full explanation. This design creates the right amount of struggle: enough to learn, not enough to frustrate.
The Coach Draws Diagrams
Unlike text only solvers, the Spark Coach can generate visual diagrams on the fly. Triangles with labelled angles, number lines, coordinate planes, area models. For visual learners (and most children are visual learners), this is a game changer. A picture often communicates what five sentences cannot.
The Coach Detects Bad Language
If a student uses foul or abusive language, the Coach immediately disengages and becomes unavailable for the rest of the session. This is not just a feature. It is a teaching moment. Students learn that respectful communication is expected, even when talking to an AI. Parents have told us this feature alone makes them comfortable letting their child use SparkEd independently.
Practice at Three Difficulty Levels
Understanding a solution is one thing. Being able to solve problems independently is another. That is why every topic in SparkEd has questions at three difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, and Hard.
Easy questions test basic recall and direct application of formulas. They are perfect for building confidence when a student first encounters a topic.
Medium questions require multi step reasoning and are typical of what appears in board exams. If your child can solve Medium consistently, they are exam ready.
Hard questions demand creative problem solving and connections across concepts. These prepare students for competitive exams, Olympiads, and the kind of deep understanding that makes maths genuinely enjoyable.
The three levels work together with the three levels of help. A student might need the Coach for the first few Easy questions, use only Hints for Medium, and eventually solve Hard questions without any help at all. That progression is the entire point.
Built for Indian Students, Not Adapted for Them
SparkEd is not an international app with Indian boards added as an afterthought. It was built from day one for CBSE, ICSE, IB MYP, and Olympiad students in India.
Every question is mapped to the specific chapter in your child's syllabus. The methods in the Visual Solutions match exactly what NCERT, Selina, ML Aggarwal, and IB resources teach. The difficulty levels are calibrated to Indian board exam standards.
This means when your child uses SparkEd's solver, the solution they see is the same approach their teacher would use. No confusion. No conflicting methods. No losing marks for using the 'wrong' technique.
SparkEd covers Classes 6 through 10 with topics across all major boards. Whether your child is working on fractions in Class 6 or trigonometric identities in Class 10, the same three levels of help are available on every single question.
What Parents Say About SparkEd's AI Solver
Parents from Google, Microsoft, Meta, McKinsey, Deloitte, BCG, and Amazon trust SparkEd for their children's maths education. Here is what they consistently tell us.
'My son used to just copy answers from the internet. With SparkEd, he actually solves the problems himself because the Coach guides him instead of giving answers.' — Parent, Class 8, CBSE
'The hints are brilliant. My daughter clicks the hint, thinks for a moment, and then figures it out. That look on her face when she gets it right is priceless.' — Parent, Class 7, ICSE
'I love that the solutions match NCERT exactly. My child's previous app used different methods and the teacher marked answers wrong. That does not happen with SparkEd.' — Parent, Class 10, CBSE
'The Coach diagram feature is amazing. My child is a visual learner and seeing the triangle drawn out with angles labelled made everything click.' — Parent, Class 9, IB MYP
